    About Us

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

The Salvation Army of Solano County strives to serve others in all aspects of our service. Our main operations for the county is located at the Suisun City Kroc Corps Community Center. At the Kroc, we also have regular church programs and Sunday services. We have two social service facilities, one in Fairfield and the other in Vallejo. We also have a mobile unit that does weekly assistance in Vacaville, and monthly assistance in Dixon. Our mobile unit also serves in emergency disaster situations; such as fires, earthquakes, and emergency homeless outreach.

The main focus of The Salvation Army is ''OTHERS'' In 1910, General William Booth sent out a telegram to all Salvation Army personnel around the world, and his telegram contained only one word: Others! From The Salvation Army's conception in the East End of London in 1865, our goal has been to save souls, grow saints, and serve suffering humanity.

We strive to impact the lives of others through: providing assistance through our social services to homeless and low-income families; spiritual and physical strengthening at our Kroc Corps Community Center; and be a light in our many communities throughout Solano County. We have the honor to serve many people, and provide hope through our outreach, programs, and church services.
