Vallejo Center for the Arts Summer Arts Camp Environmental Superheroes: Igniting Creativity and Environmental Stewardship Vallejo, CA, June 2, 2023— We are thrilled to announce the launch of the 2023 Vallejo Center for the Arts Summer camp offered in conjunction with the U.S. National Park Service Visions of the Wild project beginning on July 10 and running through July 21. The theme this year is Environmental Superheroes. This is an exciting and innovative program designed to inspire young minds to become champions of the environment. This one-of-a-kind camp offers a unique blend of artistic expression and environmental education, empowering children to unleash their creativity while developing a deep appreciation for the world around them. At the Camp, children will embark on a thrilling adventure where they can channel their imagination through a variety of art forms, including pastels, mosaics, alcohol inks, block printing, silk screening, acrylic painting, costumes, and acting. This immersive experience will not only nurture their artistic talents but also foster a sense of responsibility towards the environment. Th camp culminates in a public art exhibition in the Temple Art Lofts and a free public performance in the Empress Theatre. The camp curriculum is carefully crafted to provide a perfect balance between creative exploration and environmental awareness. Each week, campers will delve into exciting activities that teach them the importance of sustainable living, ecological conservation, and how small actions can make a big difference. By combining hands-on art projects with engaging discussions and educational sessions, children will gain a comprehensive understanding of environmental challenges and discover their potential to become real-life Environmental Superheroes.
