The fires in Solano and neighboring counties are impacting the entire Bay Area. A shift in wind direction has increased smoke activity in Vallejo. To dispel any rumors, Vallejo is not in imminent danger of the fires. The smoke is being held in the valley by a lowered inversion layer and reduced winds.
