Notice of Work at Mariner's CoveApril 18, 2018
The City of Vallejo, working with DeSilva Gates Construction, will begin importing dirt to the Mariner's Cove (Parcel A) property located at the southwest corner of Mare Island Way and Tennessee Street. Weather permitting, the project will begin April 13, 2018. The initial work to be performed on Friday, April 13, 2018 will be to prepare the site to accept the dirt. Hauling of material is anticipated to begin Monday, April 16, 2018 and will last until approximately Friday, April 26, 2018.
Trucks will enter the City from Highway 780 and then continue along Curtola Parkway,Highway 29, Tennessee Street, then to the project site. The work will be performed during normal working hours, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Contractor will utilize water trucks and street sweepers to ensure dust generation is minimized and City streets are kept clean. Buffer zones will also be set up in order to avoid the discovered wild life, as surveyed by a certified biologist.
This grading work is a pre-development activity for the area known as the Northern Waterfront and is being conducted in public private partnership between the City and Callahan Property Company, the master developer for this parcel and the larger Waterfront Project.
