A Mosaic Celebration: Diversity Scholarship Fundraiser (Vallejo, CA)
On Thursday, April 19, Touro University will hold its Mosaic Celebration fundraiser recognizing and supporting the academic achievement of students who, through their varied cultural experiences, contribute to inclusive excellence at the University. Carmela R. Castellano-Garcia, Esq., President and Chief Executive Officer of the California Primary Care Association (CPCA) will be honored for her more than 25 years of service advancing multi-cultural health policy issues.

A fundraiser where 12 students will be awarded with the Diversity Scholarship helping them pursue studies in healthcare and public health. Castellano-Garcia, Esq. will be honored for her work at CPCA where she has helped community health centers more than triple their income and increase the number of patients served by more than 275 percent from 1997 to 2016. The event includes both a silent and live auction, raffle prizes, a hosted bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres.

All proceeds from this event support the University’s diversity student scholarships with the goal of diversifying the number of healthcare and educational professionals to reflect the increasing diversity in the community.
