Vallejo offers superior healthcare with a wealth of providers,
ranging from excellent primary care physicians, residents, physical
therapists, chiropractors and other specialists to full-service and
specialty hospitals.
Kaiser Permanente Medical Center
Founded in 1947, the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in
Vallejo is a full-service medical center with 350 physicians and
nurse practitioners providing the highest-quality healthcare.
The support of 2,000 highly-trained support personnel
includes a full-service nursing staff and other specialized
healthcare professionals. The Medical Center features the
latest medical technology and equipment for inpatient and
outpatient services, including 287 licensed beds, a 19-bed
intensive care unit and nine operating rooms. Additionally,
Kaiser has a 24-hour Emergency Room and a highly-regarded
Labor and Delivery Center. The Medical Center in Vallejo is
also home to the Kaiser Foundation Rehabilitation Center. A
brand new 5-story, 430,000 square foot replacement hospital
with 188 new beds, an inpatient rehab unit and a new central
utility plant is scheduled to open in Summer 2009.

Sutter Solano Medical Center For more than 100 years, Sutter Solano Medical Center has been committed to the community by providing emergency care, delivering babies and serving others in their time of need. The medical center has 111 licensed beds and is fully accredited by The Joint Commission, an organization that establishes standards for health care providers. Sutter Solano Cancer Center offers a wide range of cancer treatment and support services, including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, massage therapy, community education, a resource library and support services. St. Helena Hospital Center for Behavioral Health
St. Helena Hospital Center for Behavioral Health is a 61-bed
behavioral health facility offering a structured therapeutic
mental health program seven days a week. It utilizes multidisciplinary
treatment plans, emphasizes use of community
resources, and has contracts with most major managed care
and health insurance plans, including MediCal and Medicare.
Touro University Medical Center
Touro University Medical Center located in the Glen Cove area of Vallejo, this state-of-the-art,
outpatient medical facility offers pediatric, adult and geriatric
care. The Medical Center is staffed by Touro University
faculty physicians, and offers routine medical care, travel
medicine services, pediatric attention deficit and pediatric
behavioral disorder evaluations, and osteopathic manipulative
therapy from its board-certified primary care staff.
Social Services
Vallejo houses a number of social services of a caliber usually
found only in very large cities. Programs for persons with mental
or physical disabilities, needing substance abuse assistance, emergency
assistance, family services, and volunteer services are all available
in the Vallejo/Napa area. |
