Vallejo Community Arts Foundation
The Vallejo
Community Arts Foundation (VCAF) is the umbrella organization
for the City of Vallejo arts programs. VCAF was established to
raise funds for permanent art facilities and to preserve and
promote the cultural heritage of the community through the re-granting
of municipal funds. Projects sponsored by the Foundation include
the Vallejo Symphony Orchestra, the Vallejo Music Theatre, and Rainbow Strings, a youth violin group.
VCAF also operates the Fetterly Playhouse for the Arts and the
Fetterly Gallery.
The Empress Theatre
The Empress Theatre is an historic and elegant mixed-use performing arts center located in downtown Vallejo. The newly renovated and restored theater is the centerpiece of an exciting renaissance of downtown art, entertainment and dining. The Empress enriches the lives of the Vallejo and North Bay communities by bringing popular entertainers and artists of national and international stature to Vallejo. The theater is also home to community productions, concerts by local & regional musicians, theatre and dance performances as well as providing a local venue in which to see independent and foreign film. |
Vallejo Symphony Orchestra
The Vallejo
Symphony Orchestra (VSO) is California’s second oldest symphony, performing continuously for more than 75 years. Classical performances include works by Beethoven, Rossini, Barber, Ravel, Mendelssohn and others. Additionally, the VSO performs an annual Pops concert on the 4th of July. The Vallejo Symphony is also dedicated to helping the youth of Solano County through its educational programs. |

Vallejo Music Theatre
The Vallejo
Music Theatre (VMT) is a community theatre company that produces
two musicals a season, as well as a large concert or cabaret
series. VMT hires professional directors and designers for each
production who help fulfill the goals of teaching the performing
arts to local students and adults. |
Vallejo Artists Guild
The Vallejo
Artists Guild (VAG) membership consists of local artists
in the visual, literary and performing arts. VAG is interested
in promoting and developing the visual, literary and performing
arts for the general public, showcasing the talent of local
artists through exhibits and open studios, and providing
instruction in the various fields of art.

Vallejo Choral Society
For over 80 years, the Vallejo
Choral Society has delighted its audiences by performing
with admirable dignity and warmth, enlivening and uplifting all
those who hear them sing. They perform a versatile repertoire
of music that spans from classical to musical theatre and are
considered one of the best choirs in Solano County. |
